Here's what a typical newborn session looks like:
We start by letting baby (and you!) settle. There's no rush — a fed, settled baby is a photographed baby. I'll guide you through natural poses and moments: the way you hold them, the way you look at them, the tiny details you'll want to remember. Siblings are welcome and I have a knack for getting even the most reluctant big brothers and sisters on board.
Sessions are typically 1.5–2 hours to allow plenty of time for feeds, settles and changes. I come to you so you can start your day slowly, savour your morning coffee and simply be. There's no rushing out the door, no use of heavy props and none of you are placed in any awkward poses.

They're only this little once. If you want to truly remember how teeny they were newborn sessions are magical in the first 5–14 days when babies are sleepiest and most curled up.
2 weeks + old
From 2 weeks old newborns start to be more alert and active. Newborns are adorable at every age and the older they get the more their little personality starts to shine.

Locations beyond 50km from Newcastle or Port Stephens are warmly welcomed, and a travel fee will apply. Just mention your location when you enquire and I'll include everything in your quote.

FAQs — NEWBORN
Book during your pregnancy — ideally by 28 weeks. This secures your spot and means we can lock in a date around your due date with flexibility built in for early or late arrivals.
No stress. We'll adjust your session date to suit whenever baby arrives and aim to shoot within the first two weeks if possible.
Absolutely. Sibling shots are some of the most precious images from a newborn session. I'll work with your older kids to get them involved and comfortable.
Just feed baby before your session and keep the house warm if we're shooting at home. I'll send you a full welcome guide with everything you need to know.
